To God we belong and unto Him is our return.
*
May I always remember this and try to be as humble as I possibly can to do what is best to please Him.
We are not guaranteed days on earth and we are not guaranteed happiness, success, health and wealth but one thing we are guaranteed and that is LOVE for our CREATOR.
With all kinds of trials and tribulations we can be exposed to, we MUST forever be grateful of HIS MERCY and compassion and LOVE for each one of His creations, male, female, animals and environment.
May God always guide me and protect me and keep me in the right path, Ameen.
May He always and forever keep guiding All of humanity, Animal Kingdom and Outstanding nature, Ameen.
He is the ultimate source of guidance and LOVE,
GOD is THE GREATEST!

Listen to Children.
Listen to our children.
We pretend to listen to our children but we really don't.
We usually need time off quite often
"please be quiet, I am on the phone!"
"I'll get back to you, give me few minutes"
"Not right now, when I'm free, I will do that for you"
Etc, etc, etc!!!
We need to stop that.
Other people are not more important than our OWN children!!!!
We need to listen to THEM. We need to converse with THEM.
YES, they CAN be OUR best friends.
My kids are MY BEST FRIENDS. (Thank you GOD for that!!)
Children are worthy, they are soooooooooooo important!!!!!
They like to play, they like to sing and dance and explore and get so messy!!!
And we need that too, only in this world we got to "watch how we look"....we may think: "what if someone sees our dirty face or messed up clothes..?? And takes a picture!!! oh no, that's soooo wrong and embarrassing and it will be recorded forever and everyone will make fun of me!!!! no way, I can't let that ever happen".
Things will be recorded?? is that right? Yes actually. We can't avoid it. EVER. God records everything and God knows what we do anyway always and forever, so who cares about looks?????
who is more important than God??? who????
no one!
God wants us to be happy.
He wants us to find our true purpose in this life, our calling. He loves us and he wants to guide us.
We just need to LISTEN.
So we come full circle.
God loves us, we should love our little creations.....(our children)
God guides us. We need to guide them. We are who they look up to.
God talks to us. We need to listen to HIM first. No doubt.
But we also need to listen to our children.

How can we find our true calling?
It is so hard to find our calling in this beautiful life.
It takes so much time and yet for others it is easy and even when they are young, they know exactly what they want to do with their life.
One of my preschool students told me once, he wanted to be a Dr.
I thought that was so cool! I wish that I knew at his age what I wanted to be!!!!
I went to school to train to be a teacher, however, I don't consider myself a great teacher.
The only indication that I am good at teaching is when my students are happy and they let me know. And I still keep letters from students who wrote to me saying that they will never forget me.
It's so weird how we impact people sometimes and at that time is when we should reflect on those who made an impact in our lives. And not get stuck in a bubble where we can't see the truth.....
For example, the fact that someone liked me so much to write me a letter doesn't mean that all other kids thought the same of me....it DOES NOT DEFINE if I am a good teacher because for every one kid that liked me, I am sure there were 10 that didn't.....right?? that's a true possibility.
I feel like when we are thankful to God for all that He has provided for us, things begin to "clear up"...so that's awesome and I want a lot of that! It's a great START to the search of our true calling.
I think that if we try our best, we could be successful in any area of our lives. However, we can't rush things and we can't push things. All of our experiences will help us in the future in ways we can't even imagine.
AND THAT IS PRICELESS!
It's sort of like connecting dots or doing a puzzle....it takes time and focus and we are often distracted. Extremely distracted....
However, distraction is good. We can't just live without relaxing, enjoying our company, our accomplishments, having a cup of tea or coffee, go our to the mall etc...we are social beings and we need breaks.....
we shouldn't feel guilty, we should feel thankful and in be constant action, whether it is writing, praying(for guidance), reflection, conversation, volunteerism, these are some of the ways we can find our true "calling".
I feel like I am on my way to the right calling and it feels so natural and so I am very appreciative to God for this feeling and I hope and pray that He keeps guiding me to the right way.

time for hope
Things come in at the right time.
We can't push things but we can "collect" them. We can collect memories, stories, knowledge and when it's the right time, the right place, we apply them.
subhnallah.
It all starts to make sense.
It all adds up....and even those little things we did that we thought didn't matter, someone higher, bigger, greater was watching.
Yeah, even when we thought NO ONE was there, God knows all the best.
God guides us all the time, we just need to slow down and gather the pieces, take the time to make the puzzle, we can't hurry things, we can't hurry anything.
It is all part of an amazing, an extraordinary creation.
Alhamdulilah.
Thank you God for today and for every day, thank you for the opportunities of learning and please, PLEASE help me and help us all understand and be patient in our beautiful journey, help us better SERVE YOU. Ameen.

Yikes! I made a mistake.
When I do make a mistake I start reminding myself of all the mistakes I have ever committed and how dare I did this and how dare I said that and I start thinking of all the consequences and all the people I have offended and how many different ways I could have possibly offended them or their family members or anyone they know etc. etc. etc. It NEVER ends. It's like I committed a crime. It is just ridiculous. We ALL commit mistakes and we know it! and even if we didn't know, when we realize that we did or how big of a mistake we made, we start to PANIC!!!! But let's be real, we shouldn't do that.
It is not written in any handbook or manual that the first thing we should do is to go crazy thinking and pondering, analyzing what we said or did, what we could have said or could have done. No one should feel this way, it's a mistake, big DEAL! Get over it!!!!!! yes, I'm saying get over it as well as the person who was offended or whatever, get over it!
Seriously, this life is too precious, too short. So now we know that if we didn't like a certain thing or gesture we have the right to stay away from the person so it doesn't happen again or that we could come forward and apologize and that's it!
I can't and won't keep dwelling in the past, I have to just take what I feel is important, a learning lesson from the experience and move on.
Will I continue to make mistakes? YES, probably! however, I won't make "THAT" mistake again, at least I really hope I won't.
And specially to those people I have offended I say here "SORRY!!!!!" but sometimes that sorry isn't loud enough and/or big enough and so I just have to pray that God forgives me for that action and keeps guiding me in His right path. ameen.

A word about anger
I have noticed that getting angry happens really quickly. You feel heat in your body, you frown, you tend to become hard like a shield. It's a natural self-defense mechanism. However, in terms of what's happening inside....you have let anger overcome you and that can hurt as much or more than actually getting hit by someone.
When someone does or says something to us we immediately start assuming and creating stories to back up that assumption. We don't take a moment to stop and reflect and live in reality.
That is what makes everyone go from mad to furious.
We should try to avoid this at all costs and start making excuses for the person who has angered us. Ask ourselves "Why is he/she doing that? and if we don't come up with at least 70 reasonable excuses, then we can tell ourselves, "there must be a reason which I don't understand at this moment."
This can help us go through almost any anger related situation.
Here are some of my tips on how to control anger or deal with anger:
1. Stop yourself right away. If you are standing, sit, if you are sitting lady down, if you need to wash up, do so.
2. DO NOT ASSUME
3. drink some water
4. take a breath of fresh air
5. go for a walk or exercise (even just stretches)
6. read a book
7. go out in nature (gardening)
8. remember your creator and be thankful
9. Make a prayer for the person you are angry with (ask that God makes his/her life easy and comes closer to Him)

High Standards
I look up to so many people for so many reasons. One main reason is that those people who inspire me and amaze me have done things with love and perfection. They have set the bar high and they themselves look up to other people who are even better than themselves for motivation and inspiration....
We generally know what is "good" and what is "bad". What feels good and is correct to do vs. what feels good but is bad because it can affect others or our environment.
If someone has a pit and starts a fire, staring at the fire for reflection, thought and enjoying the warmth of it is something that feels "good" and "correct" but if that person starts a random fire for the sake of fun and without thinking of the destruction that is "incorrect" and "bad", it really won't allow for reflection and enjoyment. Every action requires knowledge, reason and perfection.
Therefore, we must understand our responsibilities in anything we do and we must try our best to attain perfection in anything and everything we do. This will save us from error, having to repeat the action and creating healthy habits that make life easier and more enjoyable.
Let's keep our standards high and learn from those who have succeeded in aspects of life and take from them lessons that we can incorporate into our lives.
1. Make a prayer for what you want to achieve-be specific to excel in that area
2. Find the BEST teachers, even if they are friends or family members, those who are excellent in their field (a field we may want to improve in)
3. Gather information as to how and why the person has done things a certain way and what worked best for them
4. Take action-take small steps to achieve or get close to achieving or improving those personal goals.
5. Do not let Anything or ANYONE tell you that you "can't" succeed!
keep standards high!

rushing to change
Let's not rush
Sometimes life gives us a "taste" of something, gives us a problem to deal with, a gift that we can't open....a light that blinds us, we might be inpatient, we might throw it all away, when we search for that one thing we knew we had, we realize it is gone.
There are people who come into our lives and give us something amazing: a memory, a word, a negative comment, a hateful look, the truth! and even though we see these things as good, bad or horrible, we can't forget them.
These are the things that actually stick with us and are actually a blessing in disguise. If it wasn't for that comment, that look, that memory, we wouldn't be who we are. So let's not rush, but analyze. Let us not rush and even if we hate that one thing may be good for us.
We can't help but think that when someone offended us or gave us that hateful eye, it was for a reason. A misunderstanding, a wrong timing, or perhaps it was something that we needed to change in us and we knew there was a way but didn't know when or how or why and instead of analyzing the fact we decided to cry, to hate, to retaliate....
What can help us change?
-time
-apology and prayer (if you can't apologize to that person....apologize to God)
whenever we think of that person/event, pray for their well being and pray that God illuminates our path and their path and makes that event a source of blessing and that God gives us patience, light and growth.
-gifts (whatever we put out to the world will somehow return to us....let us not expect but give from the heart)

a good teacher
When we want to excel in something....anything, we should strive to get instructed by the best. Right? we make sure our teachers have credentials or at the very least experience and knowledge that they can transmit.
But, what really makes a good teacher?
For me, a teacher:
-has patience
-believes in the student, has faith in him/her
-is willing to sacrifice time and money to teach
-knows that the reward of teaching may come in some amazing form or may never seem to come...and that DOESN'T change her will to teach
-has studied with the best and has had plenty of experience OR loves to teach even though you may be his/her first student and she may be practicing on you!
-can see the light at the end of the tunnel (knows you will learn no matter what!)
-is organized and consistent
-is punctual, respectful and tries to stick to the schedule
-keeps her promises
-can be funny and entertaining to get the point across and will do whatever it takes!
-May forget your name but YOU will NEVER FORGET HERS
To my students, I love you and I hope that I was good enough to you. May you always be guided with the best guiding light of God and may all your wishes become a reality.
Never stop learning!

In the name of God,
New year, new thoughts, new ways of life.
One thing I will keep in mind this year is NOT to take ANY short cuts. Short cuts are NOT short after all. It is best to solve problems from the root. Cutting weeds doesn't solve the problem, but pulling them out CONSTANTLY does. It's a tiring job....never ends but the fruits of that hard work ALWAYS pay off.
I will also keep in mind not to "mask" anything. If I don't feel good, I will look that way and not "pretend" to be happy or pretend anything, I have to be sincere and be me. And yes, I will make mistakes, I always do and so what? I will learn from them, God willing.
I will try to be more patient and more centered, less explosive and more thoughtful, more caring....I will think carefully about everything I say or do and will find alternatives to deal with difficult situations.
inshallah.
