be generous

How can we be generous?
We can be generous when we are not attached.
When we let go.

We let go of:
money, things, food, possessions.

And we are MOST generous when we give beautiful things which we LOVE.
Not things we are not using or we don't love, we must give things we love so that our love goes to others.
Don't you think people know when you give something you don't like vs something you don't?
There's a certain karma in there!

The more we give, the more we will get.
The best we give, the best we will receive.

I had a beautiful wall decoration someone gave me.
I loved that very much. It said "anything is possible".
Because I loved it so much, I decided to give it away to someone I care about a lot.
This person when they received it, they were in a sort of "shock", you never know the effect you will have on people when you give.

People are not used to it unfortunately.
They are used to being "used", "cheated", and simply not appreciated.

Last night I got some coffee, I was craving some and I went on the drive thru. I had roses from my mother in laws house because I wanted to plant them.
I took one rose and gave it to the lady on the window.

I did not plan on that. I had no idea I would do that. But this random "acts of kindness" can transform a nation.

We need to give, we need to care, we need to do something whenever we can and the most importantly, we must love each other, no matter who we are, where we are and what we do.

If we did, this would be such an amazing place!

beauty and hope

There is a great wisdom in silence.
In listening to the inner self.
That is why the monks retreat, the yogis meditate, the Muslim pray and many others seek their Lord through silence.
You have to find that time to just make a connection with the ONE creator and understand that everything is organized and moved by him.
That's why we shouldn't "hate" any creation because it has value to the creator. When you make a cake you love it and decorate it and you are proud of what you have done. How would you like it if someone tells you "ohhh what an ugly cake, I'm staying away from that!"...

In a similar way,we should love ALL of God's creation and understand that it is there for a reason. Never should we say this is ugly etc. Unless it's someones character (which they have intellect to develop etc). I now find beauty everywhere I go and in people I meet because I feel this is coming from God and He knows why He put it there. (Although we may not understand)

Dr. Umar Faruq Abd-Allah
I heard a live lecture by Dr. Omar Farook Abdullah, wow, he's an amazing speaker~!!!! He said there are 4 obstacles for people to see beauty and instead they see evil in things or people they meet.
These are the 4 obstacles
1. The world itself (and getting lost in it)
2. People we live with (they encourage us and discourage us)
3. the devil (because of his whispers to us, telling us to fear, telling us to hate etc)
4. Our EGO- this is the greater evil to us than the devil itself!

What a genius, I love this guy, he was absolutely right "God gives us perfection, we have the knowledge of good and evil, we know what we should do"

You can see beauty in everything because God created everything beautiful but it is evil that veils us from the good.

"If you turn to this world, it will turn against you, but if you turn against this world, it will turn towards you."

Suhaib Webb

I'm paraphrasing Imam Suhaib webb's lecture here.

He said to make the dua (supplication) of a lover, what we should say to a loved one.
Hold on to God's rope and it will never brake. We should want the relationship with our lord and keep wanting nearness to Him. We should and can repent. It is actually wrong and prohibited to "give you" to God's mercy.

Truly care about people, care about humanity, your default is "HOPE"

Nature and Healing

We all have an intellect, some have it very developed and others not so developed but we are all able to use it.

I believe all the ANSWERS to our PROBLEMS are in nature. This goes very in tuned with the "Ayurveda" practice. It is a way to integrate nature into our life and that alone starts to change us.

We have problems when we are so "disconnected" to nature.

We become depressed when we don't get enough sun light.
sometimes people can't leave their situations sometimes (for job etc) but there are always ways to defeat anything (for example go out for a walk during your lunch hour).
We are not "grounded" when we don't walk bare footed outside on nature grounds, we live mostly around synthetics and plastics and very fake surfaces and places.

We can bring a plant to work and put it on our desk. The thicker the leaf, the more purification of the oxygen around that plant will be. The more plants, the more oxygen recycled for your breathing pleasure.

It's hard to believe that answers to all our questions are in nature.
Knowing herbs and spices can help us heal.
but very few people want to read or learn. They just want quick answers.
We live in such a fast passed world that everything is in a hurry and everything is fast and somehow processed.
That's can't be good for anyone!

Listen to people.
Listen to elders.
Listen to kids.
Listen to workers.
Listen to those who you are ignoring the most.
Listen to them!

I try to speak to everyone I meet and I believe strongly it is only positive to me.
I speak with my trash collector,
I speak with my neighbors,
I speak to the gardeners,
I speak to workers in the markets,
I speak to everyone because everyone has something that will benefit me somehow.
And if you really listen to them and try to understand them, you will really have a strong connection and a strong vibe and a positive way of delivering your message (whatever that message may be)

But we need to listen. Listen to nature.
Nature speaks. Nature is there for a reason, not for you to look outside and say "it's a nice day" and do nothing outdoors! Go do something and be in nature, and you will find out how in tuned you become to your body and the world around you. Your thoughts and your mind will become more alert.

It is important to PREVENT some disease as opposed to finding a "cure" for it.

THE REAL NEWS!

so I was right! we are like magnets.
I kept thinking how in the world will we get media attention? And iwthout really analyzing much, I went to get gas for the car this morning.

Well, there was a lady there, Miriam Hernandez, very nice person, she was with a mic at hand and her camera guy next to her and they interviewed me!

It was nice and we exchanged info and I told them about our fundraiser for Ronan on June 18th. So it was awesome and they seemed interested to find out more and when to film etc.

I was disappointed when I got home and a friend forwarded me the interview. I saw they had placed the wrong comment next to my name. I don't know why I'm sure they did that in a hurry but still, every time I talk to the media, I get the same "mistakes" and they publish whatever they want, even if it's all not true.

So if you see me on the news or you read those comments, I didn't say "stay home for the long weekend" I said, "go out locally and enjoy the farm for example, like Amys' farm because its so close, it's in ontario!"

I was very funny and excited but they didn't post my interview live, they posted my written "comment"-which wasn't what I said anyway....

The media and their lies....always the same.
That's why for news, listen to aljazeera or KPFK! (actually now kpfk has aljazeera I believe at 3pm.

We ARE like MAGNETS!

I will repeat what I believe (what ka sundance said once and I think it's genius!),
We are all magnets of things in our lives!!!!

So if you have an annoying friend, you are doing something to attract his/her energy. If you don't have friends, you're not putting in effort in the right places (nothing is wrong with you, you are just doing something that's not working)

If you want to be friends with someone, you got to open up and talk and see there's nothing to fear.I love talking to people and really waiting to see if they open to me and make a connection.

I meet people everywhere I go and I see it as a blessing because by responding to a hi! or a comment, that enough should give you the ticket to become a friend.

So in other words, if you want something, you must FIRST GIVE IT.

if you want love, give love
if you want MONEY, GIVE money
if you want food, give food
if you want gifts, GIVE gifts
if you want peace, be peaceful
if you want quiet, be quiet
if you want work, do something!

Everything will come back to you, stop worrying and stop giving yourself and other excuses!
Just DO IT!
I'm tired of seeing this trend in people, in particular, people who are unhappy, unemployed, single, bored etc.

Come on! Wake up and do something don't just talk about it and if you don't know how ASK! seek help, go to the right person, don't ask someone who doesn't know!!!
your mom is not gonna know how to start a daycare but you have to do your research, find out what's going on.
Read local newspapers see what is being offered, many times there's lost of opportunities we just don't want to take the time to look!

Be ORGANIZED, everything will fall into place if you are organized first, your mind will be clearer and you'll be able to make better decisions.
inshallah.

New BOOK: 5 Steps to Raw Success

Now this book is amazing! whoever wants to improve their life, be happier, wiser, more loving and feel fulfilled, should read it!
It talks about all aspects of life and how we have the power to change things and decide for ourselves what we want to do (or not do).

I love this book and I recommend it to everyone!!!
5Steps of Raw Success by Ka Sundance

(you can go to youtube and see him speaking on different subjects, he's not only knowledgeable but someone that really cares and wants to help people. That's why we are in same frequency and I feel strong vibe of friendship because this is what I want to do to. Help others Help themselves.

Here are some chapter titles:
1. Know where your starting point is
2. define you goal-ASK

Each chapter is full of advice and strong, positive energy. Now that is something awesome!

I totally agree, before making a change, one must understand where that person is, and defining the goal is important because not everyone knows where they want to go.

Now once you say Ok "I'm diabetic now, I don't want that, my goal is to beat diabetes fast and feel better without taking medicine"
that's the decision YOU MADE so respect it by following everyday steps to get there.

What I would suggest to try to "change" things in life is to read this book.
After that, you will have the necessary tools and drive to do it in an easy way (whatever your dreams may be-they are possible, doable and real!)

Don't wait till tomorrow or for "someone else" to try it, do it for yourself!
Live life, enjoy life, Laugh at everything and see beauty everywhere!!!

what are we afraid of?

this is an interesting question.
What are we afraid of????
are we afraid of death?...we will die, we are all mortals, we just have to prepare (by being good people, praying, fasting, asking for guidance and forgiveness... and much more of course). If we accept that fact and we are preparing ourselves daily, there is NOTHING to worry about!

Are we afraid of failure?
maybe...this one is tough because Once you have a bad experience you think, I"ll probably have that bad experience again so I want to avoid that. But that doesn't guarantee anything! come on! be positive, try it a different way, maybe this time you will be successful (if you realllllllly want it)
Are we afraid of our destiny?
we don't know what will come, what we will become, where we will be in the next minute or the next hour, why are we to worry about it.
I don't even know what I'm making for dinner but I'm sure I'll get inspired by the hunger in my belly and I'll come up with something.

Point is, do not be afraid.
Do not live your life in a state of fear.
Do not waste time thinking "what will happen, what if"

Follow your dreams, be positive ANYTHING is possible, tell yourself that everyday and pray that it will happen, whatever you love, cherish that, follow that, seek that!!!
Seek to make others happy because that's where you'll find happiness.

When we give happiness to others, happiness then, will come to us.

Happiness is contagious!!!

****************************************************8
this guy "markus Rothkranz"[blonde] is almost 50years old. Look him up on youtube. He has an interview with Don Tolman-look that up. It amazes me that these people are so youthful if that's a word. They are amazing in energy and positive thinking. I look up to people who focus on being happy, being loving and being successful. I like that, I don't like those who make excuses "well I was raised this way or that way, I can't commit, I can't try" come on people! get it together!
You are the only responsible party here. Don't blame others.
Unless you are a parent you don't know what it is like to raise a child.
it is not easy!
Therefore, DO NOT blame your parents or your upbringing, we should be thankful we have an intellect, a heart and a way we can make anything happen.

The secret is to do it for ourselves.
If we truly love ourselves and what God has provided us with, we should help our body heal and take care of it. Otherwise we are not being appreciative of anything!

We don't have to live with a disease in our body! We DON'T!
We can be beautiful, feel beautiful inside and OUT. We shouldn't be satisfied "well this is it, I'm this way and that is the way I will be"...HELLO!!! people can live in this world enjoying happiness, organization, critical thinking and engaging in the best things ever just by taking care of the self, nourishing the body and soul.

It is possible! DO NOT BE AFRAID!

love instead of hate

Love Vs. Hate

I was pondering about this yesterday. I used to hate a lot of things, I used to hate dirt, people, circumstances.

Now I don't think I hate anything. I may get mad or upset but it doesn't even last long. I know if it did, it would affect ME and no one else.

I use love now to fight off anything I don't want in my life and to bring things into my life which I need/want and deserve.

I don't hate dirt, as a matter of fact, I love my trash, I put all the scraps back into my backyard, I dig the compost daily. All the other trash I recycle. I don't hate doing any of that, I love it and wouldn't want anyone else doing it in my house. In theirs, yes, they should try it!

I used to hate certain people and people's actions. I don't hate that now.
when I hear about an abusive person for example, I don't hate the person, I dislike the actions he/she is doing and I try to understand why. The person is SUFFERING and that's why they are brutal verbally, physically and even emotionally because they are HURT. There's a book called "when anger hurts" and explains these concepts.

I used to hate certain circumstances and now I see them as a reason for being there. When people get angry with me or upset it's my fault, there is something I need to change in ME.

Taking full responsibility for our own actions is the only way to solve problems and understand each other. No other way.

We must CARE about people and people will CARE about us.

I spoke to my trash collector yesterday, I look forward to seeing him because he's a human being like everyone else EXCEPT he is the MOST Ignored. At least little kids like to wave but really, it's a very sad thing. We look at them as "connected to their trash truck" and they are not, they are people too! He told me he has a 20day old baby at home, and has a loving wife. I was so touched! I gave him a small gift for baby. I invited him over too, why not!!! he lives here in my city! amazing what LOVE for people can do.

Dr Ahmed
Everyone knows Matin uncle in our community. Mashallah he's an amazing person. I love him not only because he has been more than Generous with me and my family BUT because he fears NO ONE except GOD. He really is someone I look up to ALWAYS.

He invented the Glaucoma Valve to HELP people stop pressure and loose their eyesight. Amazing!!!! He loves to help people, he's an amazing person, friend, adviser and family member.
we all love his work and need people to do what he does, everything with a reason and everything with love.

May God guide him, give him strength and keep him as healthy and wise as he has been OR MORE! for the sake of helping people and keep being so good at it!!! ameen.

fear vs. LOVE

Look up David Wolfe "what is natural and necessary" on youtube and listen to that, that's awesome!

Be in love, find love, search love in everything you do, in everything you love, in everyone you meet, LOVE instead of feeling "fear"

being eco-friendly and Loving God's creations

Today's post is on "doing", not talking or saying or writing or sharing, but doing.
We must do stuff to get stuff done!
seriously!

I love multi-tasking, I think it's wonderful.
When I'm on the phone with a friend I'm cleaning, when my young baby is taking a bath, the other one is cleaning the shower (and its fun for him!), when I'm cooking, I"m also dancing around, when I'm reading, I'm making dhikr (remembrance of Allah) when I'm gardening, I'm praising God and His creation.

I love being eco-friendly, I just read a sticker online:

"don't cut tress down on my property".....GOD

LOL it was so right and funny and sad all at the same time.

We must take care of our earth, this is what God provided us with and we must love it and fill it with wonderful things inshallah

Give and talk and listen without expecting.

Talking to people really solves problems, and helps a lot!
when your intentions are to help people, You gain a lot of things actually...it's not the person who you are helping that benefits only, you benefit too!
Think about helping without a reward and you will see what happens!

on Being Thankful

So yesterday I heard one of Hasan Hathout's beautiful speeches and I actually shared it in my study group in the morning. He says some of the most wise things. mashallah!
It was on "thanking God"...
This can apply to anyone if you don't believe in God, you can think of "being thankful".

He said even if we count our blessings we would never finish.
Thank you God for my eyesight, my hearing, my feelings, my intellect, my things, my house, my car, my shoes, my toes, my....the list goes on and on.
He says our life should be "to thank HIM", so we use out tongue and our mind and our heart to remember our creator.

Jesus peace be on him used to do just that. Even when enemies would come to him he would only utter sweet words, words of love and would ask God to bless them. A companion asked him, "why do you say these things to them while they hate you and want to kill you?" Jesus said, " I can only utter what God allows me to utter, I can only give from what I have "...in other words, he didn't have hate in his heart for people, he had love. He loved everything and everyone that God created.

Hasan said "live the way God intended us to live" In hidden and in obvious ways, live the way of God.

It was an excellent lecture and one that inspired me throughout the day. I want to hear more lectures from him as they are always filled with so much love.

He worked until he couldn't anymore. I remember he signed one of his books I had bought and he couldn't even move his hand, let alone fingers. Still, he made the effort and signed that book for me. Dr. Hasan will always be my teacher and I hope to take his beautiful message of peace and love to all those who I meet.

of love and inspirational people

This blog is dedicated to two wonderful people whom I love much: My friend mariam Saada and our beloved teacher, the late Dr. Hassan Hathout.

I'll start with Dr. Hathout because I had a thought and I attribute it to him. I often think we can only change people with LOVE. We can change our situation, our condition, our feelings, our visions, our thoughts, our family, our neighborhood, our community, our WORLD! by spreading love. Without love, you will accomplish very little. Without 100% love, commitment, care, it will be nearly impossible.

As if you're in the ocean trying to swim to shore, going against all waves, you will never get there, you will be tired of fighting, mad, upset, without seeing the right path. Instead, you should go with the wave, swim like the fish, enjoy the beauty, the POWER OF GOD and realize there is nothing else you can do but "give in" to what is meant for you and let yourself "GO".

Once you understand that you must swim with the waves not against them, everything will be much easier and you should enjoy that ride back to the shore.

With love, we can change everything.
Everything will be possible and doors will open.

Like my friend ka sundance always says "the universe will arrange itself for things to start happening as they should". Everything has a plan, a master plan, God's master plan. All we got to do is pray for guidance, pray for forgiveness, remember God in ALL that we do and pray that He provides us with whatever we are asking for as long as what we ask for is pure and for a good reason. He will provide.

He provides from where we LEAST expect it. It's all in the Quran. We must read!

Mariam came to mind too. I miss her, I miss her wonderful work, her motivation, her inspiration, she's someone I value, I look up to, I respect tremendously and I LOVE! From her I learned soooo much. She cares, she loves, she teaches, she SHARES. I LOVE THAT!
Mariam you must come visit me soon, it's been too long!
She will be one of our speakers (God willing) at Ronan's fundraiser. She's wonderful and someone who DOES and not sits and thinks, ponders, cries. She will DO SOMETHING and that is why I value her so much. She uses her time wisely, has a purpose and doesn't let anything get in the way. She will accomplish goals she sets out to do and is excellent at it!

Those are some wonderful people who inspire me with their love, dedication, fear of God and TRUST in Him, that's pure devotion.

mashallah!

May God give them much light. TO Hassan, May God illuminate his grave and extend it. May He fill it with love and sweetness and beauty. May He surround him with all his good deeds and our remembrance is with Allah swt and with teachers who did so much for us, all the time...until their last breath.

To mariam, may God bless you and your beautiful family. May He keep guiding you, giving you from the best of sources and push you through any hardship s that you may keep inspiring people to the right way and may He make you strong, healthy, wise and closer to Him.

AMEEN.

visions of paradise

David wolfe inspires me because he speaks in a way I understand.
I'm not sure everyone is in tuned with his way of expressions...
It is absolutely fascinating.

It makes absolute sense to me.
One thing is true, whatever God provides us with-it is there for a very important reason and we must surround ourselves with that.
Our beauty comes from within and only can be attained by putting into our bodies the best possible foods ever.
By "food" I don't mean whatever "tastes" good, I mean what is GOOD for our body, what our body really "craves".

If we are connected to our earth, connected to our "purpose", our "mission", we would see a reduction in our "needs" and our "wants". We would be satisfied with it ALL!

Key is to be balanced. To not exaggerate, to really take a moment to understand that everything we do is leading us to something. Every step we take, even if we don't realize it is taking us one step closer to achieve our purpose. And we all have different purpose or mission.

We really need to "speak" to each other and "listen" and "understand".
All problems are rooted in misunderstanding followed by miscommunication and taking things to the extreme and taking things to another level. If we are on the same "frequency" on the same page, we wouldn't have sooo many problems. We would respect each other's needs/wants and values.

We will have peace, love and time to enjoy things which are wonderful and we would create our own paradise, our own heaven here on earth.

We are in this world for GOD knows how long, let's make it the best year ever, the best month ever, the best week ever, the best day EVER! and the best moments that we have ever experienced! We must cherish it all.

peace on earth
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TSHIIGSR0BU

nature speaks

I found a wonderful remedy.
It is "nature".
There is a book on walking barefoot. How it helps you heal. Well, I find it very wonderful to walk barefoot on "earth like surfaces". For example, grass, stone, wood. All natural surfaces are wonderful for our body. They give us a wonderful connection to our planet earth even if we don't realize it.
I believe that God provides us with all we need to survive. We plant things, HE makes them grow. We harvest, He gives us sunshine and fresh air. So basically everything starts to make sense when we really work as if we are on the same team. We water the plants and care for them, they grow and give us food. This food heals our body, we feel healthy and wonderful and strong AND become in tune with earth and in turn, we "survive" and this is the way we are supposed to live to be healthy.

But, we are "too busy" we see other things as more important-when in reality, we should look in our backyard. We should bring plants inside our home so they can re-new our air, help us with pure oxygen etc.
We need to step outside, make an effort and really "smell the roses" :)

Don't go too far...don't seek the unknown, what is "complicated" to understand. Seek the truth within YOUR REACH, seek the truth that God presents you with every day. Expect everyday to be something new.

Meet people often. Eat with someone, NOT ALONE. It will not help you. Speak to people, but better yet "LISTEN TO THEM". Listen to learn. Listen to be understood.

If you listen to nature, nature Speaks. It speaks with its wind, with its growth, with its purpose. Everything has a purpose and we sometimes don't know it but it does.

celebrating life!

When we are not happy, we see everything in a negative light. Everything seems to bother us and we can't wait to "get out" of the situation we are in.

Men and women suffer differently. But in very similar ways, they display this kind of feeling. The thought of not being happy in any situation, only being home, were one feels "safe". It is normal for people going through a depression to feel this way. Depression or anxiety or stress even.

But you have to realize that God created everything. He created every situation, every person, every thought of your too. So in a way, you must be strong and "adjust" to fit into that particular situation. Don't try to change it, simply "accept it". You mold yourself like a piece of dough and make yourself comfortable, that's all.

When we feel low self esteem this is really hard.

We see everyone as "better" than us or sometimes we see people "wasting time" and we don't want to be part of that situation. But the reality is, God put you in there to try you, to see how you react in that situation. You must put your BEST face and not worry too much, God will take care of you. Smile at people, be gentle, be sweet. People will understand, will be gentle and will smile back! Believe it.
You will start to feel that you fit there and your purpose in life has to do with every place you go to and everyone you meet.

Everything has a reason for being. Things don't just happen "just because" believe it!

I will share now one of my favorite songs. It is a nasheed (song without instruments). I love the words, it is like a poem. A way to teach us how to be to others and the world around us. It is simply beautiful!

Yes, it talks about "al habib", prophet Mohammad, but not only about him, this applies to all of us, you do not have to be a prophet to be a good person and enjoy, celebrate this beautiful life!

[if you can't see the link, go to youtube and type "al habib" it's a purple/blue masjid, click on it, it's probably the first that lines up. I'll try to post lyrics too]

getting angry and dealing with people

Do not get angry.
DO not get angry.
DO NOT GET ANGRY!

Seriously, it is a waste of time.
Instead, think of ways to distract yourself. Go do dishes or laundry or write or read or do something outdoors, something fun.

I don't like when I see people get mad so quickly, it is just _______! you fill it in.
There is so much more to life than being upset over something so simple, it is better to express your feelings and STOP yourself from doing or saying something you will later regret.

I used to get really mad FAST. Oh boy you couldn't mess with me. I once attacked this gangster classmate because I thought he took my pencil. (this was in junior high) I told him I'll go talk to the principal right away and he was so afraid of me LOL he told me sincerely he didn't take it. I later found it when I got home in my bag.

You see, sometimes we just "assume" and think the worst of people when in reality, we got to see the other side of things. Look in the mirror and "see the other"....there is something there for you to learn. We all make mistakes and what we need to avoid is becoming furious specially with the ones we love most.

It is not easy living together with people as you learn their ways and how they really are. You begin to treat them how you see fit and don't give second chances. The secret is to allow each person to express themselves as they are and give space. Some may be upset for 30mins while others may be upset for days. All matters can be resolved though...it's not hard, it's a matter of "communication" and expressing/understanding the message. Being on the "other side" and understanding where each person is coming from.
NOT EASY
but NOT IMPOSSIBLE.

de-cluttering....LETTING GO!!!!

This should have been the first post. But here it goes.

Life won't ever be the same after you start "de-cluttering". It is soooooo beneficial, I'm gonna list some of the benefits here. WARNING: it is highly addictive...

Benefits of De-cluttering:
1. Exercise
2. Helps memory
3. You find stuff you didn't remember you bought

4. You organize your home and your life
5. Your mind is more aware, specially of surroundings and space
6. Your kids will have more space

7. You can now donate stuff
8. You can see under your bed and there's nothing!
9. You can invite guests to any part of you house and leave doors OPEN!!!!

10. You will find peace.
11. You realize you can do without so much STUFF
12. You become creative and find new uses for things!

13. You realize you have so much more time you don't even know how to fill that time LOL!

What is de-cluttering??

De-cluttering means you organize an area of your house or work space [or any space] and get rid of unuseful items, those items that sit in a place for such a long time as if they own the place.

Problem for everyone is getting rid of "stuff". We are so attached it is difficult to "LET GO!" We must remember we can't take anything with us when we die...so why do we keep it?

What I do usually is piles of where my items are gonna go.

1. Donation
2. Give to someone I love or someone who will find it useful
3. Put away in another room
4. Go to garage NOW!

So that's as simple as it gets.

Today I have de-cluttered a bit of the "guest room" if you can call it that. It's a multi-purpose room, my husband likes to read or sleep there sometimes but I like to keep it clean and empty so one can focus better and "think!"

So there you have it, please please de-clutter, open your closet and see everything hanged and beautifully organized and if you got too much stuff that it won't, start deciding which pile and where it should go.

AND if you can't find a place for things, and you can't get rid of it, put it away in the attic or garage and make sure you make note that it's there for future use. Don't keep things around the house that you haven't touched in a while, ,even decoration items, rotate them frequently, it'll feel like you bought something new! hehe

THE LESS, THE BETTER!
Even with kids toys, I find the less I put out , the more creative they get. I also rotate toys and check them for broken pieces and try to fix their stuff so they learn to appreciate simplicity and organization.
You don't need that much stuff.

Can you de-clutter people?

Ok before people ask me 'what do you mean', I really believe you can also de-clutter from people. All people are wonderful and beautiful but that doesn't guarantee they are "GOOD FOR YOU". Some friends may waste time on the phone or come over for hours and you can't get anything done. SO, you can de-clutter your life from these kinda people. It doesn't mean you don't like them....it means that it's good to see them once in a while NOT ALL THE TIME! Or if you can "refer them" to someone else....that would be ideal.

I can't give personal examples but I can say I have done that in the past and it has worked for me, no one got offended, they found that the person I referred them to was better company than me at the time and till today they are still great/close friends.

Anything is possible!

The BEST diet on earth is ____on earth itself.

my computer crashed as I wrote this blog...I was making an analogy between swings and weight gain.
How funny, I was at the park with my kids today and I showed my eldest that I could make myself go up all alone without anyone pushing my swing....so Slowly as I moved my legs up and down, the swing moved me higher and higher.

Same way, whatever we have as a disease, it is because somehow we brought it onto ourselves. We don't want to believe it but it is true.
God provides us with the most beautiful, colorful, tasty natural foods and instead of eating them, we go buy highly processed ones because they look, they taste and they smell a certain way. we were raised with processed foods, "drink chicken broth" when you are sick, "got milk?" read the signs on our billboards..but that's just not natural, not healthy, it is processed.

So the time it took us to "put on weight" was a slow, steady process. So in the same way (like when we slow our swing down) we must be patient and really make that effort to change our lifestyle.

It is not a matter of a diet or not. IT is a mental note, something that we tell our mind and something we believe in. If we don't believe it, we will not do it! No matter what. If it works for someone else, it will not work for us as our bodies are different we must be happy and thankful with all we got.

I told my son, "see, I make this effort to go up as I move my legs and God is the one pushing me, no one else". In the same way, when we want to change our condition, we ask God and we trust that He will help us.

The best diet on earth (no matter what anyone says) is the one God gave us. We just have to look at nature, look at the vegetation and eat it in its pure form. Nothing added, no pesticides, nothing colored or "fixed", apples shouldn't all look a certain way, they should taste natural, they should smell beautifully and this is what becomes part of us. This is what makes us who we are.

It makes sense and it works.

Some people are afraid to change

With so many things happening in my life, I noticed that sometimes no matter what you do or say, people will not change. It is not in their destiny to step "away" from their comfort zone and really give themselves a new beginning.

It is as if they see themselves and although they may not be 100% satisfied, they feel like "this is it", they don't understand the power of God and how HE can change EVERYTHING. All you got to do is really believe in HIM and that He has all the power and you have no power at all. And after that understanding, be HUMBLE and ask sincerely from HIM whatever you want and if it is GOOD for you, He will give it, if it's not good for you, HE WON'T.

But change comes from within, change comes from US, it doesn't come from the neighbor's weight loss program or your cousin's new lifestyle or your spouses new attitude, it MUST come from you. It is hard for some to "LET GO" of feelings, of thoughts, of patterns, of hobbies, but sometimes giving something for God's sake, you will get much more in return!

It's not the same seeing yourself in the mirror and not having a huge vision of where you want to go and what you want to be/how you want to feel. I have huge visions and sometimes I don't, I let God guide me and take me where He wants me to go. Every morning when I pray, I ask for guidance, forgiveness, renewal of intentions and that God uses me in the way He wants for my best interest. I put all my trust in HIM and NOTHING is difficult, everything is possible!

Don't make excuses for yourself, draw a small but realistic plan, don't tell anyone, just do it and you'll see that God will guide you AND HELP YOU (almost by the hand!) if your intentions are pure.

Don't be "afraid" those are the looses!!!! Why be afraid if God is on your side? what can happen if you change jobs, if you change your diet, if you homeschool your kids? nothing but goodness, and it will come, you must believe, follow your dreams TODAY not tomorrow, SEEK help, SEEK from those who are positive and can help you, SEEK love, patience, trust, De-clutter from people who waste your time, who don't believe in you, who really put you down.

You CAN change, no matter what your situation is, you can change your condition, you can feel better, you can do better (and be better appreciated), YOU CAN!

Positive ENERGY!

I think we can't help but feel negative sometimes. Personally, I had that feeling before and it was surrounding me everywhere I would go and no matter what I would do. I think prayer helps and surrounding myself with the right people, they kinda change your outlook in life.

I seek positive energy, positive people, positive surroundings, that's just beautiful.
When alone, it's good to seek that from nature, plants, animals, even books believe it or not! Some books are beautifully written and the love flies out of those pages!

I don't like negativity, it's really annoying and waste of time, waste of one's life too. Once things fall into place and things start making sense and one opens up to new opportunities, new adventures, ANYTHING can be possible! That's the beauty of a believer, a visionary, someone who really can see beyond today but sees what can happen in 1month.

Stay positive, stay alive, surround yourself with beauty.
I find beauty everywhere now whereas before I used to hate things or dislike this or that, I now "adjust" to the environment, the circumstances, and I love that feeling of challenge.

I hope to inspire with that.

welcome!
